Employees Give Back to Baltimore’s Duncan Street Miracle Garden

BKM has been located in Baltimore for its 50 years in business. With National Volunteer Week 2018 running from April 15-21, our employees wanted to give back to the local community. BKM employees celebrated by volunteering at Duncan Street Miracle Garden downtown in Baltimore City. In coordination with The Neighborhood Design Center, BKM teamed up with AmeriCorps’ Ben Derlan to help prep the garden for the summer season. Volunteers helped repaint garden boxes, weed and plant, clean up surrounding alleyways, and mow the area. We were able to clear 13 large bags of shrubs and trash. This event came at a great time as we also celebrate International Earth Day 2018 on Sunday, April 22nd.
