BKM provided MEP design services for Salubris Biotherapeutics, Inc (SalubrisBio) a subsidiary of Salubris Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd. at their facility in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The renovation included converting an existing equipment area to create two new lab spaces. The 500 square feet of new lab included 5L & 10L single use bioreactor vessels with oxygen and carbon dioxide piping and manifolds along with a lab grade compressor to provide the bioreactors with lab grade utilities. The renovation also included a new biosafety cabinet, vacuum piping and a laboratory sink. The existing normal and emergency electrical systems were modified and supplemental cooling units were added for the new research labs.
