BKM welcomes Jeremiah Swanger to its talented electrical department as an electrical designer. He is a recent graduate of Penn State Harrisburg, who has future goals of pursuing his EIT and PE. While working in Hershey, Pennsylvania’s hospitality industry full-time, Jeremiah simultaneously earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering. His interest in electronics and computers stemmed from childhood with a fascination in the continual development of technology and its large-scale implementation as seen across the AEC industry.

Jeremiah crossed paths with Ben Pham, a previous Penn State Harrisburg classmate and BKM electrical representative, while attending a campus career fair. He was attracted to BKM’s relaxed corporate culture and the opportunity for mentorship and diverse design experience. As a team member at BKM, Jeremiah is interested in designing research laboratories for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He commented, “I am mostly looking forward to the day when I walk into a new medical addition or school renovation and see the hard work from myself and my fellow BKM engineers benefit others.”

In his spare time, Jeremiah builds his own computer systems. He also enjoys researching and designing components for electric guitars, basses, and their respective amplifiers. Jeremiah currently plays the Contrabass Viol (also known as the “double bass”) with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra – one of the oldest and largest volunteer orchestras in the country.
